Chapter 226 (FL) of The MOWW Welcomes You

Serving Youth, Community & Nation

It was established to promote the welfare of our nation—especially veterans and youth. The Order provides opportunities for its member “Companions” to unite and volunteer through actively participating over time in strong programs for patriotic education, veterans affairs, youth recognition, law and order, national and homeland security and good citizenship. Companions also convey the thoughts and needs of the uniformed services to the civilian population and interpret civilian sentiments to the Congress and to the leaders of the uniformed services despite not being a registered lobby organization.

An MOWW Chapter Since 1992, the Sun City Center (FL) Chapter has served the youth & community of South Hillsborough County, FL. This service has recently during the first half of 2020 been extended throughout Southwestern Florida (Bradenton-Sarasota, Ft Meyers-Naples) and over to the Miami Metropolitan area. Here at Chapter 226 of The MOWW, we are driven by a single goal; to serve beyond our current or former uniformed commitment. Our Outreach process is informed by the identification of partners. We strive to build productive partnerships and make a positive impact with all of our Outreach activities.

  • To promote the cultivation of military, naval, and air science and the adoption of a consistent and suitable policy of national security for the United States of America;

  • To acquire and preserve records of individual services;

  • To encourage and assist in the holding of commemorations and the establishment of memorials of the World Wars; and

  • To transmit all these ideals to posterity; under God and for our country, we unite to establish…

National Security Outreach

Keeping the Nation Strong & Safe!

At Sun City Center Chapter of The MOWW, we are proud to be serving or having served in organizations that defend our Nation. Keeping informed of the activities, past & present, and recognizing the “defenders” of today is indeed our privilege. There is always more we can do!

Veteran Affairs Outreach

No One Left Behind!

With the many other Veteran Service Organizations and their joint forums, we recognize the professionals & volunteers that promote the welfare of The Veteran & their families. While participating with other local VSO units, we share activities that improve the local Veteran’s quality of life.

Monuments, Memorials & Plaques Outreach

Never Forgotten!

Since the end of World War One, the Order has never forgotten to publicize & memorialize the service & sacrifice of all members of the eight federally-uniformed services. Participating in Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day & Veterans’ Day ceremonies Is certainly one manner in which the Chapter serves this Outreach. Companions also serve to establish & maintain the monuments, memorials & plaques that honor all those who have served this Nation.
